Evil alignment

Does attaching wandering friendly monsters still turn Good aligned characters Evil? I haven't seen this actually happen yet after lord knows how many encounters.

Bonus question: On Apple 2e, did Murphy's Ghost encounter always have 2 that dosido'd every round, regenerating all the damage you've done at early levels when you miss a lot? There was just 1 on NES version. I don't remember on Amiga, I played that version less. It's annoying the early grind spot was taken completely away in the early going.

The good to evil conversion can happen but is quite rare.

Apple ][ Murphy's Ghosts mostly appeared as two groups of one, but you could occasionally get just one. They seemed a but harder to kill too but that might just be my memory playing tricks. They didn't cast spells or regenerate.

true, been attacking every friendly monster in sight hoping that my alignment might change. No luck as of yet...

By code Evil parties will never get friendly encounters in this version.
That said, the chances of an attack on a friendly party has a 1/2000 chance of switching alignment on a per character basis.

Also, Neutral characters stay Neutral no matter what.

Can confirm you can switch to Evil this way (rarely) but I don't know if you can turn Evil to Good by choosing not to attack friendly parties, which is still possible if you have a group with a mixture of alignments. In older versions you couldn't, but in later versions you can. Hasn't happened to me yet in this one.

Looks like it will be some work to get my 2 Lords and a Samurai to Evil. It doesn't help how infrequently friendly monsters come around.
