Do you mean like dungeon crawlers?
If so, the Etrian Odyssey games come to mind.
Etrian Odissey
Stranger of Sword City
Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi
Labyrinth of Refrain
Labyrinth of Zangetsu
Mary Skelter

All these "labyrinth of" are different IP's and different games, in case you tought they were from the same franchise. There are way more games since this is a whole gender. and an ancient one. Some games like eye of the beholder are action base instead of turn based.
Elminage Original
Elminage Gothic
Those pretty much fit the "More classes, more skills" request solidly. Great Wizardry clones.

Infinite Adventures - Great indie pick. Turned out a lot better than I anticipated.
Operencia: The Stolen Sun - Looks great graphically, own it but have yet to play, but only 4 party members. :/

Saviors of Sapphire Wings - bundled with Stranger of Sword City I believe.

If you're on a limited budget, most players agree to skip EO 1 and 2 and head straight for 3. Story wise, they're not connected, and I can confirm EO 1 and 2 have some frustrating mechanics.

If you're playing the DS versions, then yeah.
With the HD versions on Steam, I'd say that EO1 HD is worth playing due to the QOL changes, and also (if you don't mind the unbalanced classes and don't mind/care about the postgame) EO2 HD.

I highly recommend Legend of Grimrock and Legend of Grimrock 2. They are both very similar to this style of original dungeon crawler.

Additionally, if you are looking for an added complexity one thing I recommend is turning off auto-mapping and mapping the dungeons yourself. It is very rewarding and was one of my favorite parts of going through a dungeon crawler.

If you would like a modern take to graph paper and a pencil, give Grid Cartographer a try. I use Grid Cartographer to map as I go. Grid Cartographer even has integrations for other games, as well.

All apps I have referenced in this response are available through Steam.
If you're looking for old school games like this, the other Wizardry Games as well as Bard's Tale and King's Quest as well as the Might & Magic series all fit the bill. The Gold Box games like Pool of Radiance also somewhat count. Ultima sorta does as well, but has its own system instead of the D&D-like system of these games.

Love all of these recommendations, as well.
Thank you for the suggestions on games.

I was looking for a dungeon crawler like this or wizardry with just a little more modern graphics and more options as far as character creation and development.

Was looking for the type of game that had the list or portrait of your characters rather than the tactical grid or area like BG3 or hack and slash like D4 as they put these games into the dungeon crawler category.

Also looking for something that’s deck compatible ( Legon Go) I tried Tokyo something and was having issues with it on the go.

Going to grab EO see how that is, had labyrinth of refrain on the WL a while just hoping it works in the go and see how it’s skills options are.

Thank you for all the suggestions again this helps grabbing a few new games to play.
I will toss it out there again but the Legend of Grimrock series was the, up until this remake, closest modern take on the original Wizardry games that I had encountered. Same concept. You build a party of four and crawl the dungeon. They incorporated many of the quality of play updates that are being incorporated within this updated version of Wizardry, as well. You can make it unforgiving or as easy as you want. You can have auto-mapping or turn it off and grab your graph paper and a pencil. Here’s a link to their original game trailer. The original was made about 10 or so years ago but the graphics and game quality still holds up well.

Top recommendations:
+ Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk
+ Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society
Unrelated storys, but Galleria followed Refrain gameplay and mechanics wise. Lots of "stuff" when party building. You don't form a party of 6 characters, instead you form upto 6 combat groups. Each group can range from 1 character to 3 in combat with 5 giving passive support. So you could eventually have 48 characters in your whole party. By the later parts of the game you are heavily encouraged to cycle characters around and level reset/class change. Galleria did some QoL improvements, characters carry over all skills on class change and do like a point buy to enable/disable skills. Both games also have a good story, not something you find in these types of games generally.
Steam Deck Verified as well.

Would also recommend:
+Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi (unrelated to above)
+ Etrian games
They did a nice rework of Bards Tale you might find fun.
The Bard's Tale Trilogy adds some great QoL to the games, the best of the remastered dungeon crawlers IMO. You can play with the old legacy rules if you like.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu was a quality release last year. I like the way it does multiclassing. Supposedly a DLC is coming soon.
