What spells do you actually use?
I feel like some of the spells are just never used, even some of the more powerful ones. I'd be interested to know how you use odd ones like MORLIS / MAMORLIS, MASOPIC, and all the single caster buff spells.

I do use Morlis and Mamorlis, specifically on monsters with low AC and high resistance to conventional magic, like Will-O-Wisps and Murphy's Ghosts.

Masopic - not so much. The mage usually has something better to do.

Single caster buff spells - do you mean Mogref, Sopic, etc? I feel they might see more use if they could be targeted at another party member. Even then, fairly corner case.

I pretty much never use single player buffs - either party wide or mass destruction. As above use DILTO, MORLIS, and MAMORLIS for specific encounters.

Dilto, Morlis and Mamorlis reduce enemy AC so are useful when you have a hard time hitting a target. Dilto can make farming Murphy's Ghost much easier.

Mogref/Sopic and Porfic are in theory helpful in longer fights as they decrease the chance of your Samurai and Lords getting hit. Not so useful for those in the backline.

Masopic is not so useful in this game but can be very useful when facing some of the bosses with high magic resistance in later games.

the priest solo buff should be cast-able on others. that would make it useful. for now its never a strategic choice. the mage has one also but mages are selfish anyway :) and as pointed out already the mage is busy.
