Can't tell, I've never played Everblue 1 or 2, but I can tell you this game is beautiful to look at and really fun to play, for what it's worth =)

I loved "Everblue 2" and still have my PS2 copy. That game could get unnerving at times when you would go deep into wrecks and the dark water, always keeping an eye out for threats and your air supply. Comparing WoD to that game doesn't really work. Sure, both are diving and exploration titles, but WoD doesn't have threats and, at this time, is basically a very relaxed experience. There are sharks, but they pose no danger. Eb2 was made with a large studio budget and a lot of time went into it before it was released on consoles. WoD doesn't have a huge budget and bugs are still present after each area is released, but they will eventually get fixed. Graphically, WoD doesn't look like Eb2 or even its follow-up games, Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean-Blue World. We are trying to get the devs to hopefully add in more graphical, gameplay and animal life into WoD that are found in those titles though. Eb2 and both Endless Ocean games are story driven. WoD is not.

Good for the relaxing part since can explore with ease, though would be kind of cool if the devs after awhile created a "hardcore" mode which does add the sense of danger as you explore certain areas.

There will be a hard/simulation mode. This probably will not include crazy sharks killing you for no reason, but it will make the game much more challenging because you'll have to take into account all the real life features/checks etc. that come with scuba diving.

Spot on, that's what I'm looking for. Game looks sweet even at this point, I'm really enjoying even the little bit I have played thus far in the beta. Good work guys!

I'd say this is more similar to Endless Ocean than to Everblue, if you've played those (also great) games.

Everblue series was the best diving adventure games ever made, i hope something similar will come sooner or later.
