Black Screen = VR Mode?
Game launching to black screen seems to be a common issue, without anyone knowing any fix. The results for me consistently happen, but I'm not sure if any of this is dependent on my hardware.

I'm not using any VR gear, so this is might just apply to standard screen play on Windows. To start the game, I can:

1. Right Click the title in your Steam Library and select:
1a. Play Game...
1b. Launch World of Diving
2. Hit the blue Play button in the Library page and select:
2a. Launch World of Diving in Steam VR Mode
2b. Launch World of Diving
3. Right-click Steam (in taskbar or system tray) and select the title
4. Execute the Steam-created icon on the desktop
5. Run the WorldOfDiving.exe in the install folder, or a shortcut to it

All but two of these methods results in a frozen black screen at launch, immediately after the Steam Community pop-up begins to fade. The "Launch World of Diving" (option 1b) gets the game going just fine. The Play button (option 2) gives me the choice of launching the game, or launching it in Steam VR mode, which is the default choice. 2b works, 2a does not. Running the game's exe outside of steam results in a windows-detected-but-fake-crash, followed by an imediate run of the game which goes to the same black-screen freeze.

So I'm guessing that "Steam VR mode" is how the game runs under most conditions. A check of http://steamdb.info/app/251890/config/ explains some of the launch options, but using the argument "-vrmode none" doesn't help on either a shortcut to the exe or Steam's "Set Launch Options..." config. With only a single executable to be found, and no obvious config file, I'm sure there's a command line option that will turn off VR mode, but it doesn't look like the syntax on SteamDB is correct.

Unfortunately, this means I can only get this thing going from inside my Steam library. Sure wish the game was smart enough to figure out which to go with. Or even if my choice was remembered. Or even if it just asked me every time.
