GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING HELP
We have a small number of known technical issues for running the game which are usually resolved quickly with one of the solutions listed below. If you have any problems with the game, please try these fixes before posting a bug thread or contacting Support. Thanks, Wales Interactive Team

PLEASE NOTE: Master Reboot does not currently support Bluetooth PS3 Handsets on OSX.

GAME NOT STARTING - POSSIBLE SOLUTION: COPY/PASTE WINDOWS .DLL FILE

Find your faultrep.dll file on your system, this can be found at c:\Windows\System32 or by downloading online. Copy the file and paste it into the binaries/win32 folder of the UE3 game itself.

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: PRE-REQUISITE INSTALL FILES

Locate and run the following file:
<Steam_Install_Path>\steamapps\common\masterreboot\Binarie s\Redist\UE3Redist.exe

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: VERIFY THE GAME'S CONTENT

Try verifying the game's contents are all there by right clicking on Master Reboot in your game library and going to it's PROPERTIES. Then click on the LOCAL FILES tab followed by VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE....

This may take a few minutes to complete.

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: PERMISSIONS

Ensure that Master Reboot has the necessary permissions to run as admin. If in doubt try the following:

Locate the following file:

<Steam_Install_Path>\steamapps\common\MasterReboot\Binarie s\Win32\MasterReboot.exe

- Right click and go to properties
- Click the compatibility tab and check Run As Administrator

For MAC Users: The same applies, ensure that the operating system is giving the game the correct permissions to launch.

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: ANTI-VIRUS & FIREWALL BLOCKAGE

Also another point to make - ensure that your BitDefender or Anti-Virus & Firewall software is not blocking the game from launching. This has been a problem for many people.

For MAC Users: The same applies, ensure that your anti-virus or firewall is not blocking the game from launching.

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: SETTING THE GAME TO WINDOWED MODE

For some systems many games are required to be launched in Windowed mode. To enable this try the following:

If you locate Master Reboot in steam:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MasterReboot\UDKGame\Config

In the Config folder open up UDKSystemSettings.ini in notepad and find [SystemSettings] - Somewhere under that heading you will find Fullscreen=True - Change this to False.

-------------------------------------

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: DISABLING ALL GRAPHICS OPTIONS

Disabling all of the graphics options for the game before attempting a start has enabled some people to play. Navigate here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MasterReboot\UDKGame\Config
Open DefaultSettings.ini and set the top 8 lines to FALSE.

-------------------------------------

HOW TO CHANGE RESOLUTION TO A SPECIFIC RES

Open up where you installed MR go to UDKGAME\Config\Defaultsystemsettings.ini. Edit line 38 and 39 with whatever resolution you want. This may cause some graphical issues however.

-------------------------------------

HOW TO EDIT KEYBINDS

Steam\steamapps\common\MasterReboot\UDKGame\Config

THEN EDIT THESE LINES...

; Primary default bindings
.Bindings=(Name="RightMouseButton",Command="GBA_Jump")
.Bindings=(Name="Up",Command="GBA_MoveForward")
.Bindings=(Name="Down",Command="GBA_Backward")
.Bindings=(Name="Left",Command="GBA_StrafeLeft")
.Bindings=(Name="Right",Command="GBA_StrafeRight")
.Bindings=(Name="NumPadZero",Command="GBA_Use")
.Bindings=(Name="LeftMouseButton",Command="GBA_Fire")
.Bindings=(Name="RightControl",Command="GBA_Duck")
.Bindings=(Name="Escape",Command="GBA_ShowMenu")
.Bindings=(Name="T",Command="GBA_Talk",Control=true,Shift=true,Alt=true)

-------------------------------------

If none of these fix your issue then email us at support@walesinteractive.com with a description of your problem and we'll get back to you with some help.

Is there no Fullscreen option or am I missing it somehow? I am using a min-2013 Macbook Air and Mac OS X 10.9.3.

Alt+tabbing corrupts the graphics,

Tried with Nvidia drivers 335.34 and 340.52.

GPU: GTX 580 3GB VRAM, OS: Windows 7 64bit

So... Fullscreen... Mac... If I could get an answer :)

CMD+F will toggle the fullscreen on a Mac.

Thanks. I was expecting this as an in-game option. I'm new to Mac :)

Juste to notice an infinite loop can occur in the game when you try to change the resolution... I had to spam Ctrl+Alt+Suppr to successfully get the "close the session" and be able to get the control of my computer back.

I'm in 1680x1050, i didn't find the resolution in the menu, i selected 1600x1200 just for a try, apply and voila. Infinite loop with a black screen. I know it's an infinite loop because 1600 is inferior to 1680 and i saw the apps which were under the game alternatively with a full black screen. The game didn't suceed to maintain a stable resolution.

And yeah, alt-tabbing is definitely a bad idea. I just alt-tabbed several times after the first one and i got differents glitches. Conf : Core 2 Quad Q9400 @2.67Ghz, ATI 4870 1Go, 8Go RAM, Win7 x64. Here are some screens :

I can't get the triggers to work on my wired Xbox 360 controller. Additionally, pressing the left stick brings up the pause menu and the Start button jumps. I'm using 10.9.4 on a 2012 MacBook Pro.

Hey Fort, there is no need for editing software, just opening the files in a Notepad and using Ctrl+F to find whatever it is you're looking for. If you would like some assistance then drop us an email at support@walesinteractive.com
