Good idea, didn't even think about that. I locked it at 40fps since it isnt a real action heavy game, seemed to work out much better, sits at 69c 47% fan speed now, thats normal for me, good lookin out, thanks again. No idea what it was running at previous, I just used inspector to lock it at 40.
You mentioned Inspector for nVidia. I used RadeonPro for my ATI card.
I fixed it BUT I had to change the directory the game was installed in. RadeonPro doesn't work if the directory had a "!" symbol in it, so I changed \Stick it to The Man!\ to \Stick it to The Man\ and it started working. FPS limited to 35.
Oh my God, thank you for this. I've been having this problem not only with Stick It To The Man but with a number of games that were running with a really high FPS. System locks all over the place. RadeonPro should solve the problem.
Bonus points for you!
No worries. I tried registering and reporting it in RadeonPro's bug forum a month ago but my account there was waiting to be "authorised by admin" before I could post. It's one month later now and I still can't post.
It doesn't seem like this bug has been reported before, though admittedly I only gave the bug report forum a very cursory overview.
I turned on vsync for the game in the nvidia control panel. I guess I should look into software to cap the frame rate, but vsync seems to solve the problem anyway.
