no Very Easy?
After 4 hours carrer mode play, i think this game is not easy as everyone says around on this forum.
Maybe i'm only a big noob ;) But in many games the opponent team are very strong:

The "700-2" score maybe is only for after 20-30-40 hours of play? Thanks!

Up to this point the game is fun for me, and i think is not a 100% cash waste. I play some match in multy against my brothers and is so fun.

I play with a 8 years old xbox360 joypad and maybe the ball precision is bad. (exist a retro compatible joypad for playng this?)

bye

I agree, I lost every game in the 2nd division, I imagine it gets easy when you have maxed out your starters. Unfortunatly I only spent one season in the upper league before my team vanished due to bugs, you're lucky you've got to play for 4 hours

The 'too easy' issue has more to do with Brutal Delux never being an easy game, even after many years of playing. It constantly kicked you while you were down, no matter how skilled you were. Come the end games you never thrashed the likes of Super Nashwan by a couple of 100 points (you were lucky if you could just about defeat them). So, the leagues being a cake-walk in the HD version is a bit of a problem, especially when I boot-up the original on my old Amiga and find that it is still a struggle to get out of League 2.

The problems with Speedball 2 HD are many. Your teams starting skills are too high, which means even Steel Fury are far too easy to rinse. You get a defined amount of money after each match, whereas part of the original challenge was to balance winning with collecting enough coins in-game to build a successful team. Do youi go for goal or pick up that coin in the corner of the arena before the opposition do? Choices, choices! Transfers were not available after every match or only a selection of one or two players were available for transfer, which meant there was greater strategy involved in building a strong enough team to challenge for promotion. There's no knockout challenge (which I really miss). It's far too easy to knock-out opposition players. And the AI is criminally stupid. In the original game the computer opposition were evil gits that made you suffer, by annihilating you around the score multiplyer and using the electro-bounce to spank you while your trousers were down (they were also unrelentingly fast - the HD version never reaches the manic pace of the original). In Speedball HD the AI rarley target the score multiplier, which is just another reason why these mega scorelines exist.

I'm glad new gamers are enjoying Speedball 2 HD - the main components of the original are there, but for experienced clowns like me it's just a tad disappointing that it does not replicate the magic of Brutal Deluxe.

I retract my previous statement, It is incredibly easy. Both league 1 and 2 are completely pointless, I normally get 200 points before I just round in circles to wind down the timer.

I realised all you have to do to win the 2 leagues is only upgrade your center forward, tackle at kickoff and then run at the goalkeeper, shoot as he dives.. goal everytime guranteed.

This doesn't work for the intergalactic cup, but its beyond boring playing through the league games every season just to get to the cup.

Not easy at all, if the opposing team has stronger players than you, your team spends most of the game lying on the ground or knocked out, wich means you can't do anything but watch your opponent score and score again. But then, you have 10 seasons to train your team and make transfers so it gets easier after two seasons. Except for galactic cup wich is just about impossible to win wit a three stars team because all of the opponents are five stars and they kick your ass big time! :sectoid:

I found it too easy, but i was one of the many who played it all those years ago.
I think its all in how you upgrade your team.

The stats have a lot to do with it, i can go from dominating every match in one league to being dominated costantly when facing tougher teams. People seem to overlook how much they affect the game.

Agree. The leveling up is the most important aspect.

I have played some 5 star teams in intergaltic cup and if you are still 3 star you are seriously in trouble as the game seems to play. Also clownfoots description of the AI and using bumpers and charge balls seems to jump with these teams. I hope they get tougher in the champsionship League.
