Do you need to do a new play through if you want to see all the story of the characters?

Then how would the achievement saying complete XXX' story be achieved just plainly playing the game to the end?

You pick a main character at the start of the game who plays the "lead," but they are all mostly identical. This is not a story-heavy game and there is not much to see story-wise.

The 3DS version did have a small bonus for clearing all seven characters but nothing significant carried between playthroughs.

So if you want to get all the character achievements you have to clear the entire game seven times, each time starting from 0 without any carryovers? That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks ass.
