The real question is if it's local coop only, which seems possible.

Local only, but i prefer playing Barbie with physical persons rather than online.

How do you get to the local multiplayer? Do you have to complete the game first in single player? I do not see the option, and now I've got some unhappy kids waiting on an answer.
