No Playstation button prompts when using PS4 controller?

[ANGRY BASTARD!!!!!!]

As per title, I'm using a PS4 controller on the demo, but the button icons are using Xbox layouts instead of PS icons.

Anyway to configure it to show PS icons? This WAS a PS5 game, so it should have PS icons built in by default.


.....or do I have to plug in a PS5 controller?

You can change the button symbols in the game itself, but it did recognize my DualSense wired and I had all the haptics and adaptive triggers with Steam input off. (Though, that might not matter to you since you said you were on DS4.)

You can change to PS prompt on controller setting within the game itself. There's an option between XBox and PS controller prompt

It automatically gave me PS buttons with my PS5 controller.

Any tips for getting a ps5 controller to work wireless? The game recognizes when wired, but not on Bluetooth. I've updated the firmware recently and it helped with other games. Did you do anything special to make it work with FFXVI?

got playstation icons on ds4. steam input is off for this game. there is a setting in game as well that can be used.

for that you need to pay some money for DSX software here on steam

This should be a standard in every games.

I use a Dualsense with DS4Windows, it's a mess to constantly Hide the PS4 controller.

I had this issue with another game once, and it was because of my controller settings in Steam, it was forcing xbox for some reason
