Another bad performance

People who is happy with it arrn't even noting the game is by default dynamic resolution and upscaling. I have a very good PC and with both off my PC runs it 40fps. Normally I play with more than 100fps. I was playing star wars jedi survivor with fps locked to 100.

Apparently the game's modified FF14 engine only uses software RT shadow/GI (Lumen-like, not DXR) with no legacy fallback even on PS5, hence the spotty performance. So unless you have a 4070 and above, just play with 30>60 framegen and save the headache.

Stutters are so bad. Definitely going to wait a few months after release for modders and patches to fix this port. Awful. Make us wait a year then deliver a poorly optimized game.

So? What wrong? Every game I ahve amazing frame rate. I was a nvidia boy, changed from a top geforce to AMD was one of best thing I ever done. My 1080 ti coulnt run RDR2 only after 1 year and a half later from it release. Was like 50fps on 1440p. Now I have a card that is cheaper and runs everything above 100fps. Normally I never use more than 80% of it. You just don't know what you are talking about.

P.S. I was always thinking that better optimization -> low system requirements -> more people will biy game -> more money for the devs. What is the point of releasing poorlu optimized game? To receive less money because less people will buy this game? And optimizing game for only one GPU provider shrinks customer base even more. Well, that their profit loss, not mine...

My 4090 « hides » most optimization issue but FFXVI was already a shame on PS5 and considering how it looks (kinda ugly…at least far worse than top AAA which have also RT) it should run better.

I mean the comparison of the PS5 version being 1080p/ 60 and it recommending a 2080 just for that is actually very accurate tho... And it still looks miles better than what the PS5 version was even on those specs. The game does a lot of very demanding visual things that others don't do so yea :>

No it doesn't, it looks like ass compared to other games that run better. Even Cyberpunk with Ray Tracing runs better, Jedi Survivor looks and runs better, Black Myth WUKong looks and runs better.

what i noticed game will ask for more than 8 GB VRAM ( usually around 10 GB total usage) and more than 16 GB RAM (around 18 GB total usage)

The game doesn't use all that Vram, it allocates it, the more Vram you have the more it will allocate, I play on an 8GB 3070 without any problems with that

Yea there's no way you are running Jedi Survivor at a 100fps. Even on low settings that game is a disaster, no matter what your specs are.
