Sadly texture packs aren't common anymore
Either that or you never played on a PS3.
I am waiting for the first post that compares this game to a Super Nintendo game.
It's pretty bad, actually. Also, some cutscenes are locked at 30fps?
Sigh..
Thats because like half the cutscenes are really FMV recorded at 30 FPS and the rest are realtime but to not feel stutters when they play right into each other they locked all cutscenes to 30 FPS.
So what you're seeing is the lower quality base textures on the atlas that were able to get streamed in faster versus the higher quality ones that you either didn't get streamed in time for draw, or those same lower quality base textures because you ran out of VRAM.
I will say their system is acting a bit goofy for reasons I can't quite ascertain yet, digging into it though.
I wouldn't say PS3 but the game does look kinda meh in the graphics department. Very much reminds me of FF14.
Yeah XV was a nice showcase, XVI looks like a step backwards.
