How good are the DLCs?
I finished the base game (100%), back when it came out. It's a good game, but
im curious how good the dlcs are (or any update that released), before i decide if its worth revisiting it.

Appreciate any help, thanks!

Both DLC's have final bosses on par with the base game, if you want more of that you'll get it.

Also there's some special ekion stuff after finishing them I won't spoil it tho.
Sounds interesting, do you know if there is additonal New Game+ content?
Uh, the additional eikon stuff maybe has that? Most of it seemed to be stuff to keep doing in the end game like the gauntlet. I haven't done new game+ personally to know.

Also from when I played.

The first DLC was like 2 hours (it's basically one big dungeon and a cool ass super boss), the second DLC was like 6+ (it's like the length of a major section of the base game leading to multiple different enemies and one cool ass boss then an eikon battle) and thats focusing strictly on all the story stuff side quests and all. That's not including the gauntlet.

For me personally the DLC was more than worth it cause I just wanted more cool ♥♥♥♥ to fight. The story was really interesting too, but don't expect it to be anything that elaborates on ending stuff.

I have not played them but from what I heard they aren't anything too special and both are rather short

I don't mind if they are both around 4-8h, but only if they are good and maybe even add replayability or different modes. Im a bit conflicted now
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I was wondering about this stuff as well. I don't typically buy DLC unless there's a point to it. I don't care about optional fights or stories that have nothing to do with the main story. Once I've got my fill of the game with the main story, I'm good. From what I'm reading here, it seems like I'm not gonna have to waste the extra money on the DLC because it's not worth the time and doesn't advance the main story.

The DLC was great. Read some actual reviews if you want to learn more, rather than feeling conflicted because one commenter who admitted they hadn't played them but "heard" they weren't good.

It does not, it does tons for world building and it is cool as ♥♥♥♥ with the bosses. But it doesn't elaborate much more on the ending just a little with Ultima.

It feels like an extra chapter of the base game. If you like the world and want to learn more about it like I did, there's cool ♥♥♥♥. And hot tan blue eyed chicks.

Thanks for the elaborated answer! :)

Yeah, you're right. Thats a fair criticism.
Thanks!

Oh also one more note the game HEAVILY hints at something at the end of the gauntlet, I don't know what it is and since I plan to do the gauntlet at some point I haven't looked it up.

It might be another super boss, I just don't know. but it relates to the extra eikon stuff...

First one was okay. I didn't play the second one because Stellar Blade just blew FF16 out of the water tbh no pun intended.
