The game has stuttering
I am using a high end computer (RTX4080) and the game has plenty of stuttering, not great

I am tired of bad releases

I was optimistic when I saw the shader compilation screen, but it still stutters a lot during gameplay.

Yeah my 4090 can’t hold 60 fps without diss at 4k insane really and it does stutter unfortunately

I only had a tiny bit of stutter but at the same time the game felt like 30fps even though I was hitting 70, so something is wrong

Has anyone noticed the game just outright stall for a couple of seconds in some places?

stutters are thanks to denuvo, just like Jedi Survivor.

Have you even tested and properly profiled performance?

There was games which were tested cracked and denuvo version and it was huge difference, hogwarts legacy had 30 FPS difference same as resident evil it's insane

The developer was boasting a few months ago that it was performing better on PC than expected and that they could bring the launch forward and then we get this disgusting performance (based on the comments, I am still downloading it).

It performs terribly on PS5 (although at least it's smooth) and I was hoping it would be a lot better on PC, but stuttering ruins the experience.

that's not how denuvo works

Yep the stutter is not great. It bizarrely even stutters during the 30fps locked cut scenes.

Yeah its an absolute joke. I have tried different resolutions and graphics settings and it stutters no matter what

This game is not ready to be on PC

In his defense, he was probably right about its performance being good. Then the suits say "put denuvo on it." Developers don't optimize a game for denuvo and they rarely even WANT denuvo on it. It's rarely their decision.

It's ridiculous they keep putting Denuvo in, but that's not the whole problem because many games seem to have stuttering issues on PC with or without Denuvo.

I really think these game companies need to employ a few enthusiast PC gamers to test their games, we could tell them in five minutes whether their game is performing acceptably and whether it's okay to have cutscenes limited to a stuttering 30 FPS.

I just can't help but feel that many game developers don't know what good PC game performance is or they just can't tell when it's performing badly; either that or they just don't care if their customers have to suffer through a game that stutters so much it's like it's having a seizure.

I'm on a 4090 and a 13900K, SSD, the works, and something's goofy here. Once I restarted it a second time, performance was a little better, but not what it should be. The tutorial fight, on first boot, was basically running in slow motion. A restart fixed that, but I'm not blown away with the optimization atm.
