The game is very bad...
Whether it's the gameplay, the ridiculous and annoying story, the graphic effects, it's all very bad, there's nothing FF about it, the only people who are really into it while denying what a bad game it is are Yoshi-P fans, I think.

If they never ever make a new FF again, I'm okay with that, I think this franchise is just done in general, they don't know what to do with it anymore

Its an action RPG...

FF legacy dictates that virtually NO FF sequel plays the same.

Be it combat, (magic/mateira/jobs,) story or chars, not counting X/X2 and 13/lightning returns etc.

FF series always reinvents itself.

There's no such thing as, FF feels like FF, none of them feel or play the same.

Only consistency and ounce of samey is the MENU/UI elements/Menu Sound effects - That's IT. (This is more of a Squaresoft / SquareEnix thing, not unique to FF, Secret of Mana etc... Even Kingdom Hearts series UI elements/sound effects/ fonts sound like classic FF games.)

Silly thread, weird opinion, waste of time.

Also, more helpfully, this.
You want the same boring ♥♥♥♥ each year?
Call of Duty would like a word with you. Or hell, the FIFA games.
You want boring static non-evolving failure design?
Play those( @ OP)

I don't like Square's direction of moving away from turn based into this action heavy crap for an rpg that seems to resemble a knock off dmc, but you're over blowing it.
There's a difference of not liking the direction something's going or changes to how it works, versus it being an actual bad game. Your subjective opinion on changes doesn't make something bad. It functions as a game that can be enjoyed and as long as it's not bricking while playing, it objectively works.
I don't like or agree with this direction, but I'm not going to sit on here like a basement dweller and pretend my opinion is a fact of life that everyone else should be forced to agree with. Muting you, good day sir.

Have you ever played the old FF games? Reading you, you started FF with the 13th...

FFs have always had their touch, which makes you realize every time that you're playing a FF...

This one's got none of that, so come up with some arguments instead of just talking in circles.

In terms of boredom, I think FF16 is the champion.

Adding change if it's successful, yes, but here it's not, it's a real disaster of a videogame.

Good job common sense and 30 seconds of looking at the gameplay disagree with you.
I guess if you're a dopamine-smoking CODBRO who has no attention span and hates the "long" high-quality cutscenes, it might be boring.
But uhhh, no?

Involved, reactive gameplay during combat, cinematic storytelling, great visuals.
You're just wrong. Shush now.

Not a huge fan of FF for the modern era... I'm a XenoGears, Valkyrei Profile tho.

To know that sound/UI elements /font styles are persistent in virtually ALL Square/SquareEnix games indicates that I've played more than FF13... (I don't even OWN FF13, nor do I own ff15 or the remake of ff7, if you look at my steam library, lol.)

I only own FF classics and my favorite Square RPGs, (Legend Of Dragoon included...)

FF16 has wonderful music and graphical style oozes FF series.

There's always a small hallmark left behind...

Final Fantasy 1-9 would disagree with this assessment

I kind of agree with OP, Yoshi-P Final Fantasy games are the worst ones

You think it's clever to make ad hominem jabs when you don't have any actual arguments to make?

The gameplay is disastrous, and soporific, watch this video son : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocN-HPG0_zg

Story so far is just so bad.

People die for the for the most stupid reasons.
You somehow joined the evil army that killed your entire family. How? Why? Did my main guy just lose all of his morals? Doesn't matter what reason they to throw me as I know it'll be stupid.
Did I lose my brother twice?

Why am I not just backstabbing these enemy soldiers right away?

Gameplay is fine but a bit limited, guess it will open up later on.

I have a hunch that the red star near the moon is gonna be some evil thing too.

It has to get A LOT better and quickly too for that matter.

This ain't 4chan, son. Go away.

And to whomever said so earlier : Hey, Vagrant Story is a cool game! Xenogears was neat too.

Everything after der Square Enix Fusion is just meh. Some games are ok, but not anything outstanding. Still missing the old Square vibes.
