Do you think it is worth buying?
I have never played Final Fantasy but I want to play 16. Do you think it is worth buying? It looks good to me for some reason.

Try playing the Demo first and see whether your PC can play the game smoothly or not, don't worry about replaying the game as you can transfer the save file from the Demo to the full game.
I love the game for its simple gameplay and engaging story but if you expect something like DMC, Bayonetta...you would be disappointed.

i have rtx 2060, i7 and 16 ram. I can only play around 15 min fine and then the game goes 10 fps, on cutscenes full stuttering and even lower fps. If you have a better pc than mine u could give it a try. Having said that the game is not a true ff for me its more like a low tier dmc-witcher fusion with good graphics. And the main story at least for me is mega short. I remember games like ffx that were super long i love ff because of the stories and how long the games last.

FFX is not long at all, if you focus only in the story, u complete it in 10 - 15 hours max, it was just an epic grindy game / many optional things to do (and i liked it tho), and pretty much the same with the other ff games.

Depends. For me, it´s one of the worst FF I have ever played (and i have played most of them). Kinda like a DMC (toned down by a lot) with a FF theme. It´s just not for me. Not a bad game, but not what I want in a FF game.

The presentation it´s wonderfull: cool story, theme, mature elements, epic moments... but at the same time most of the game is a little bit boring. Those epic moments are at the begining of the game (the demo was for me the best part of the game for me) and the fights with other eikons. The problem with the rest of the game is just... it's supposed to be an rpg but the rpg elements does not really exist or they are just boring as hell (like most of the secondary missions).

At times it feels like they wanted to spend almost the entire budget on specific moments and the rest of the game has suffered. In that sense it doesn't feel like a balanced game to me. And it has definitely failed as an rpg.

You could like it a lot or hate it a lot. You have not played any FF game, so maybe you are not as biased as me.

Got myself the game yesterday, and it's been a massive disappointment so far. I think it really depends on what you're expecting to get out of this game. I expected an interesting story with great characters and at least somewhat fun combat system, and all I've got so far is a stellar performance from Ben Starr (Clive VA),

I honestly don't get the reviews. Everything about the game so far has been almost aggressively bland and uninspired.

Let's agree to disagree... I think this game is awesome

You do you, I do me :steamhappy:
Games amazing if you even slightly like DMC or action games in general, pacing can be poor, but if you just enjoy good stories with a tragic tone to it or fully realised combat systems I can’t recommend a better example from the last two years.

This is coming from a gigantic FF fan btw, outside of multiple playable characters and good exploration most would feel right at home. Definitely recommend, just check out some of the combat videos this game is riddled with

It's great 😭 the cutscenes are not even THAT long 😭 ignore those type of comments...it's a great story with deep lore & fun gameplay (you can take great photos in photo mode:)

It is also my first final fantasy game I am absolutely loving it. I have a 6700xt with ryzen 7 5800x and I get 60 to 110 fps in 1440p with everything set on high and with fsr 3 on quality and frame gen on so it's not that good but definately playable. Microstuttring is permanent in this game unfortunately. And there is a mod you can easily download for 60fps cutscenes and I didn't have a single problem with that. Perfomance aside this is a great game
absolutely not worth it. dont encourage sht developers. their in house engine is trash

Also agree this game is bland.

Maybe the people who've played the classics know that this doesn't compare while the newer crowd think this is amazing?

Cause I don't quite understand the positive reviews either.

PS: I've tried to pick this game up on four separate occasions and I just can't bring myself to care about 'whatever this is' (cause it's not Final Fantasy).
worst optimized game in history, feels like they didnt even try. And hell yea those 50+ bucks i paid hurt for such a bad optimized experience.
Old fans or newcomers, this game isn't worth playing. That's my opinion.
