"GPU will not receive more commands"

Hey team. I've been persistently getting the error "The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application." Been crashing constantly when transitioning from cutscene to gameplay, barely able to make it through the intro sequence.

I just upgraded to a 4070 Super 2 weeks ago, and the NVIDIA driver was updated to 566.36 yesterday. I freshly installed the game, and so I have NO idea why this is happening.

Otherwise I'm running a Ryzen 7 2700X (yes I plan to upgrade this soon) and 16GB RAM.

Any pointers? Thanks in advance!

You can try drivers 561.09. That fixed the crashing some of us were having but the specific error was "GPU instance has been suspended." I was using the latest drivers and crashed every 1 to 2 hours. Been playing for over 30 hours on 561.09 without a single crash.

I was having constant problems with crashing (My system exceeds recommended) until I updated my motherboard bios that were 3 years old. As a last resort that might help.

Thanks for the tip. Downgrading the driver to 561.09 worked for me. I was getting crashes with the newest NVIDIA driver installed.

My 4080 super keeps stuttering in crashing... And its not even in just this game. Stalker 2, Wukong, Indiana jones... Stutters and crashing relentlessly. Going AMD because DLSS looks like smeared Vaseline and tired of all the stuttering. Since they're upgrading their RT performance and better upscaling. AMD the way to go now on their upcoming UDNA generation.

Try uninstalling Microsoft Gameinput from installed apps and restarting

That seems to have fixed my crashing/freezing issue out of all the fixes I have tried.
