Game not launching
I recently got this game and went to try playing it after installing the game. However, it doesn't even launch. I click start and i get an initial loading screen with the main protagonist on it, but then it disappears and the game just stops running. I have tried everything I could find on the internet, such as upgrading my drivers, deleting compiling shader folders, reinstalling graphics drivers entirely, running as administrator, reinstalling the game, launching the game in windowed mode, and more. Is anyone else having this issue? I have never had this issue with any other game. I am tempted to just uninstall and refund the game entirely.

I really want to play this game because i love final fantasy, but it seems like it just won't work at all. If anyone else has had this issue please provide some assistance, because reddit forums, youtube videos, and other forms of assistance have failed.

I recently had an issue where it was just stuck on the splash screen whenever I attempt to boot up the game and my fix was deleting the .psol file. It was weird though because the first time I Installed and boot up the game it was working fine and then this happened. My only issue now is kinda minor where it literally takes a good 2-3mins to get into the game after the splash screen even when putting this on an SSD.

If you don't mind, can I ask what is your pc specs? SE games tend to be very un-optimized and they don't even address these kinds of issues until years down the line (like with Nier Automata for example).

Hi there. Ya, I tried the whole deleting the .psol file as it was mentioned several times on reddit. However, that did not end up working for me either.

My pc specs are i5-13400F 2.5 ghz, 32 gbs RAM, Nvidia GTX 4060, windows 11.
Oh ya, the game is also installed on an SSD.

if you have nvidia card install nvidia hotfix driver 572.24 manually, auto update does not download it.

Oh nice, your specs are actually better than what I have in my machine. Im still using a 2080ti lol. As for the nvidia hotfix driver that Sula mentioned above. Here is the link where you can download and install it. I hope it works, let me know.

This.
Plus new driver and hotfix has a problem with high core overclock, if ffxvi keep crashing use stock frequency.
Still cant get it to launch. Installed the new drivers and deleted the file mentioned. This game worked fine a month ago and just refuses to launch after the splash screen.
