How do I stop sprinting everywhere?

My character is stuck on permanent full-on, head-down sprint mode everywhere I move. Is there a way to toggle sprint off? I'd like him to move with more dignity, especially when at the castle or in towns.

Sorry, didn't work. Still looking for suggestions. At this point it's annoying enough I'm will to install a mod, even this early in the game's release.

i get the opposite, my char takes ages to start sprinting, and normally has reached the destination just as it kicks-in. i wish there was a run button instead of this POOR auto-run nonsense.

Check the keybinds and see if the toggle walk is unbound.

Found it! You were right, the keybind was unassigned. I assigned it to L-Alt and I'll be damned it works! I can now walk like a normal person! Thanks!

Feel the game should have a sprint toggle.

It does but it's unassigned. Go to key bindings in settings and assign a key. Works perfect after that.

Controller users are stuck with auto-sprint, that only kicks-in when you ran for Minutes sometimes , it dosnt even kick-in if anyone is talking so can take a while in most cases, mostly just as you arrive at youre destination it starts to sprint. pathetically annoying.

Clive's sprint is definitely too slow. I use a mod to increase his speed by 12% and it's chef's kiss sweet spot. Any higher and you start having issues with stairs + it gets too silly when he goes into open world sprint mode.
