You're not the only one, I also am having poor performance and have a 3070TI and 32GB RAM too, but my processor is ryzen 7 3700x.

My performance tanked early on in some forest area, and the town after that. In the town and forest I'd be at 40+ frames just standing there. I decided to move on and see if there was a difference. My game plays great now that I've left those areas.

I was having similar performance problems on my end with the game slowing to 15 FPS, after switching Super Resolution to Legacy that was able to smooth out the issues. Some other discussion posts have mentioned have similar issues with Super Resolution settings.

Afterwards, used the following Optimized Settings suggestions from Digital Foundry and looks good:

Graphical Fidelity - Medium
Texture Quality - High
Shadow Quality - Mid
Water Quality - High
Clutter Density - High
NPC Quantity - High
Screen Space Reflection - On
Ambient Occulation - On
Bloom Shader - On
VRS - Off

And not just Poor performance, but your frames decreases while you play unless you restart the game, my temp fix is Use Legacy Super resolution for now, image quality is crap but it will do for now..

I second using legacy super resolution. The game seems to leak vram with dlss on. Native also seems fine - but if you're low on vram or need some extra performance (or just want to save power) legacy super resolution on quality. I'm personally also using dldsr so I didn't see any major changers to visual quality - though that may not be the case with dldsr off, or just at lower resolutions.

As for fsr3 and xess, I actually haven't tested them yet.... perhaps I'll do that. But either way man this games uses a ♥♥♥♥ ton of vram. I'm on a 4090, running 1920P right now on high ( not ultra) and still using 13.5gb. The first chapter was using like 10. I'm lucky I have that buffer, I know a lot of people don't.

And I'm still early in the game.

Hi! Had the same issues on simmilar hardwere (3070 and 10700) and had the latest nividia drivers installed (566.36) and I could not break 40+ fps eaven with DLSS and manualy chossing the lowest setting for "display" as 1200x720. "Fixed" it by reverting to old drivers (566.03), so now I have about 50+ fps with high/med on 1440p with "balanced" on DLSS.

Anyone else having the same issue?

7800X3D user here running the game on 2K @ 120 FPS on a 3080. But it still gradually lowers to like 27 FPS after a few hours. FML this game is the worst when it comes to optimisation.
