I had to drop the graphics to 1080p, and low settings on my 6600xt and it ran fine.
When it was on medium, it was dropping into the 10's and lower.

I disabled dynamic resolution and every fancy feature it had, then moved the graphic settings back up to medium and it was running fine. There's something specific in the settings that's causing the fps drop, just didn't go through them enough yet to figure it out.

its your VRAM. the game using over 10GB of VRAM so any graphical setting that has a high VRAM priority if you dont have enough its gonna kill your performance

6950XT here. I tried to run the game three times and it crashed three times at the first cut scene. I installed the beta driver, got through the cut scene, but all characters had no bodies, just floating heads. Restarted the game, drive crash AGAIN, but this time with my screen filled with coloured blocks. This is the worst optimized game I've ever played.
I'm also running 6950XT

Had one specific crash at one specific cutscene that would crash in the same place every single time. Downloaded the beta drivers and it worked just fine. Game performance has been flawless otherwise. Perhaps your CPU and RAM aren't up to par with your GPU?

Could be. I haven't tested it on my 6800xt yet.
This was only the demo, also.

You guys need to delete the psol cache inside the appdata folder. That's why you are crashing and stuttering.

Another AMD user crashing thread. :steambored:

Current public/stable release (ie whatever is on the app if don’t enable beta, sorry not at comp right now).

Been running fine, 6900xt, well, frames suffer at true 4k, but fsr 3 and everything else maxed, it’s been fine. No ghosting even, little shocked tbh.

I also have a 6800XT and I've done every conceivable thing to try and identify the cause of my random crashing outside of reinstalling windows (I reinstalled it last month) or something dumb like turning off windows defender. I've just conceded at this point it's a driver problem.

No, clearing my drivers and reinstalling to the newest didn't fix it.

No, running my GPU at default settings didn't fix it. Neither did running at OC or UV. I also tried playing without my CPU undervolt.

No, turning off FSR didn't fix it. Or any other graphics setting. Or any Adrenalin settings. I've ran about every conceivable configuration of these things.

No, running in fullscreen/borderless didn't change anything.

No, EventViewer does not report any errors before the crash.

No, running it in admin mode didn't do anything. Neither did disabling fullscreen optimisation.

No, turning off all overlays didn't fix it.

No, my hardware isn't broken. I checked. And I'm not getting any transients in my PSU.

Game runs absolutely fine for me otherwise. When it's working I can just slap all the settings up to high, enable FSR Quality and call it a day. I've had sometimes up to 5 hours of uninterrupted game time, but sometimes only 20 secs. The only possible factor I've identified is it seems to crash more when I'm in the more lush, visually dense and cluttered parts of the game.

Game is not crashing for me on 7900xtx. But performance is awful. Waiting for patch.

You've done everything except delete the pso

Are you gonna explain why that is causing crashes, or where to find it? Looking in my cache folder and there's no such thing. Google is just telling me about problems with Far Cry 6.

i'm convinced that there isn't a difference between amd and nvidia grpahics being at fault. ive tried using both, nvidia 4070 and amd 6600 with exact same problems. the update to the newest version currently pinned has only made it worse. running in admin only helped with launching the game and deleting the pso did only one thing and that was another 15 minutes of waiting to compile shaders b4 the stutters began in a 15 minute time frame. I also tried installing the github uncap framer ate patch and the stutter fix on nexus both together and sepertly on both graphics cards to no avial. Settings have been tweaked a ton from low mid high ultra and cutom including default both using the amd adrilanlian software and nvidia geforce experience to no avial. Increasing vram usuage and checking for additional updates including bios. Adding 4 sticks of 16 gb ram each with an ssd. several fresh installs and then if all that wasn't enough I had my friends on discord try it with their systems as well. 32 people all varing types of systems some mid tier and others at high end tier going for as much as 12k+ in cost with exact same issues. To those lucky few who seem to get this game to run good on you. only 1 of those on discord can join the ranks of the lucky fluffers that are you. They need to fix this and fast. If I could refund this game I would. Very disappointed in how this game was released and more so at the lack of communication. My grammer is exactly how I fell about the games release. Like a pile of Garbage. Please fix your game.
