What's the point of fighting larger enemies with Stagger Bars?
So, i've been playing for around 15 hours ish now, and I've been noticing a lot of problems with fighting larger monsters, and or ones with stagger bars out in the "open". And no, not scripted ones, just ones out in the area's in general.

Killing Larger enemies with Stagger bars merits absolutely next to no experience, and can take 2-5 minutes to kill just ONE of them. While on the other hand, I can go and kill a group of 6 monsters in the matter of 20-30 seconds, and wind up getting a crap ton more experience than I would fighting just thae ONE enemy that would again, take 2-5 minutes to kill.

So I'm curious is there an actual point to going out and killing these monsters? The only thing I can think of is materials for crafting, which you need very little of in the first place, and usually one or two Large enemies will suffice.

Even then, I might as well just upgrade weapons, and just purchase new weapons from the merchant rather than spend all that time going out of my way to kill those Larger enemies.

So is there any point to killing them?

no point from what I can see.

They also tend to drop Black Blood, so you get a bit of extra Gil for your troubles. But I’ve not really farmed anything so far, just kill everything on the map once is my standard practice. Things don’t respawn unless you fast travel anyway, so it’s a fair practice, I’d say.

The point is to have fun. If you're not having fun, don't do it.

The point is to fight things that don't die in 2 hits.

Small enemies are for you to style on with air combos.
Medium and Large ie things with stagger bars are for you to see how high you can push a number for bragging rights.

You don't really have to grind in this game. Just kill anything blocking your way and move on.

What rotations? This game literally has next to no rotations, and it's spamming buttons. The combo's literally have all been the same so far.

Fire Mode= Dash attack, normal attack, magic attack, normal attack, magic attack. Use your two special skills, swap to Garuda, spam her two skills, swap back to Fire, and Repeat.

That's about the entire gist of the combo system in this game 15 ish hours in.

Why would I spend time practicing, something I've mastered in the first two hours?

The only other noteworthy thing thing other than the basic combo system, is the perfect dodge, which in all honesty, isn't that much more difficult.

You just need to play longer, there is way more to do. Remember, 10 hours ago you didn't even have summons. Imagine what you get in the NEXT 10 hours :)
