FINAL FANTASY XVI

At least FF 16 is better then 15, but it's not better then the legendary 3 (FF6, FF7, FF9).
I don't care much for FF 15, better yet i think it's the worst of FF15, and FF13 used to be the lowest quality work for an FF game.

in the past, FF6, FF7 and FF9 had some good exploration factors, some good systems and other things you could do outside of combat, and optional things you could do outside of main story, Tons of optional bosses, super bosses to challange, and trying to get the ultimate weapon for all characters.

This game however is not like that. Sure you got regular hunts and boss hunts that make it feel like your doing optional bosses but they are few compared to what we deal with in the past. Not to mention your playing mostly a single character and not a party as usual, so you only work on one character though the straight and narrow, instead of 8. This game lack other things to do outside of combat, no triple triad/terra masters, no chocobo breeding, nothing fun on the side. All you have is straight grind of the DNC mechanics that wear out' it's welcome.

Due to this, I placed FF16 above FF15 in my tier list, but it will not be better then FF13, FF10, and FF12. I think FF series will not longer be better or greater then the legendary 3 at this point because they lost their way.

Am I the only one that feels this way with the state of recent FF titles outside of mmo's like FF 11 and FF 14?

XVI must really suck if it can't beat IX.

At best, it's just Decent, it's not great but it's not really bad. it also reveals that since FF 12, they lost their magic of making good games.

You forgot to add legendary four, FFVIII.

Thanks.

FF8 didn't get so much overwhelming positive amongst the players, I keep hearing mixed things about the game.

core issue is the junction system and the draw system

Another is the level scaling built into the game that make the game more difficult the more you level up, you have a better experience if you remain level 1.

at least that's the game that first to introduced triple triad, and it was the method used to actually get overpowered in disk 1.

So it was kinda mixed to me, and I didn't care much for FF 8 at all, I remember being so young and stupid that the game mechanics just didn't really helped me much, I know i spend alot of the midnight hours trying to beat the damn game, I also remember breaking the 3rd disk out of rage one time as well... Sorry but FF8 is not "legendary" for me, I put it below FF 12 for me.

True, but I would count FFVIII in it. IX was very childish and straightforward. VIII had interesting side activities, refreshing mechanics and a mature story in an war-torn world.
Preference I guess. AT least VI and the original VII and timeless amsterpieces

at least ff15 didn't forget to be a rpg and gameplay wise as far way more depth than ff16 will ever have. content wise, ff15 destroy ff16 (in quantity and variety of said content). exploration at least exist in ff15, you have a cast of playable characters.
and i could go on.
but heh ff16 is better.
to me ff15 is a mid game but you can appreciate a mid game.
ff16 is a bad game, gameplay wise it's boring, it isn't even a rpg and as a BTA it's even more bad than the first bayonetta (released 15 years ago). story is so generic that you can see anything coming before it happens, cast of generic characters without any kind of depth (and unplayable + no customization of their gear btw).
at least ff15 had the excuse to be a development hell (and imo SE should have left nomura on it)

It does not really feel so much like an FF game, I agree. Bandai Namco and the studio that made the Tales of Series kept the RPG in these action RPG games, and surprised that FF 16 does not have anything compared to them.
