At best, it's just Decent, it's not great but it's not really bad. it also reveals that since FF 12, they lost their magic of making good games.
Thanks.
FF8 didn't get so much overwhelming positive amongst the players, I keep hearing mixed things about the game.
core issue is the junction system and the draw system
Another is the level scaling built into the game that make the game more difficult the more you level up, you have a better experience if you remain level 1.
at least that's the game that first to introduced triple triad, and it was the method used to actually get overpowered in disk 1.
So it was kinda mixed to me, and I didn't care much for FF 8 at all, I remember being so young and stupid that the game mechanics just didn't really helped me much, I know i spend alot of the midnight hours trying to beat the damn game, I also remember breaking the 3rd disk out of rage one time as well... Sorry but FF8 is not "legendary" for me, I put it below FF 12 for me.
Preference I guess. AT least VI and the original VII and timeless amsterpieces
and i could go on.
but heh ff16 is better.
to me ff15 is a mid game but you can appreciate a mid game.
ff16 is a bad game, gameplay wise it's boring, it isn't even a rpg and as a BTA it's even more bad than the first bayonetta (released 15 years ago). story is so generic that you can see anything coming before it happens, cast of generic characters without any kind of depth (and unplayable + no customization of their gear btw).
at least ff15 had the excuse to be a development hell (and imo SE should have left nomura on it)
