FINAL FANTASY XVI

View Stats:
2 mods which will make the game more challenging
Basic Difficulty

https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy16/mods/13

It makes enemies more aggressive and makes them deal additional damage. Lots of optional files for options too!

Gear overhaul mod

https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy16/mods/89

Overhauls all the equipment, loads of changes including adding passives to certain weapons.

basic difficulty is pretty solid, though i havnt reaaallly noticed an aggression increase but that could be me misremembering. Definitely do a lot of damage, ive died quite a bit especially to hunt marks and even to some "mini bosses" or bigger enemies with stagger bars.

Gear overhaul looks to be something you should pick up as you get closer to bahamut considering brightburn has 270 on each stat and an extra 30 i dont think would break the game too much? as even 400 stagger is a lot

You can just download someone else's save file from Nexus for that. No worries, if there's anything I can help with let me know!

I wish there is a mod to just unlock Final Fantasy mode from the get go.

Actually Brightburn is much weaker, the stronger one is now Radiant Brightburn, which requires Dragon Talons and Meteorites to craft. Progression has been completely reworked in the mod, try it out!

The difficulty mod basically doubles enemy damage afaik but it also makes them more aggressive, no more enemies waiting their turn to attack.

You have 13 years old and it's your first video game ?
The mod in question is called "basic difficulty".

I wish there was a mod that did something like enemies do an additional 20% damage and Clive does an additional 10% damage. Many of the enemies are just damage sponges and not very fun to fight.

If this was a thing you could do then you'd be fked from the get go. From what I understand of it is that that mode is geared towards you beating the game and have everything carried from it for it. I think it expects the player to be around level 50 as well with decent gear. So if you were to start fresh from level 1 with basic gear you'll be totally screwed

I doubt it's that hard.

I believe the mode is geared for you to be able to reach level 100. So with that in mind a lvl 1 with basic gear fighting level 45+ mobs means you'll be screwed

I'm going in with Basic Difficulty, wish me luck bois!

I'm actually dying regularly to the Drake now, it seems Basic Difficulty is working.
