And yes, FFXVI seems lacking in budget for some reasons.
FF7R is just one of the best Square game ever made on many levels, its day and night with FF16.
Combats are perfect in FF7R, there is very good gameplay, so good you just want to do the game again in hard mode. There is nothing about all this is FF16.
You can do it before because FF7R is massive.
It took me 35/40h to rush the game, and I litteraly saw not even 1/3 of the zones.
I'm gonna wait for the completed edition, with all the extra contents, bug fix, graphic enhancement, blah blah blah.
The issue is the lack of overall challenge and enemy variety.
Do the trials and see for yourself.
They are tough and very fun.
Man, I wish there's a way to cheat and get that unlock firstly.
Same issue with FF7 Remake.
Hard mode is so much better!
But 30-50h RPG man....get that firstly!
There is no gameplay... dodge, hit with the sword, dodge dodge potion. Improving difficulty would only make the game more frustrating.
And normal combo, air combo, magic and eikon moves for offensive.
You don't have to use them. I think I would be bored if I didn't use them. But then it's my fault for playing the game in a way I don't enjoy
The stagger mechanic means that you have to do as much damage as possible in a short frame of time. Which means you have to set up a scenario to profit from that as much as possible. That includes using your skills in a way that they will be available during that time, so lining up everything perfectly.
Learning how to use the combos in such a way that they do maximum damage. For example, the air combo hits faster than the ground combo, so learning to chain that does more damage.
Again, I could ignore all of this and just do basic combo and dodge, but I would be bored if I did that. But then it's my fault for playing the game in away that is boring and ignoring all the options it gives me.
If I had any complaint, it is that there should be a harder difficulty, so that engaging with the mechanics becomes mandatory. But I'm sure that people would be complaining way more if they added that, so thanks for that
