Chocobo won't run

When I hold R2, the Chocobo moves a tiny bit faster than walking, but it doesn't go into a full sprint, am I missing some trick that makes it actually run?

Maybe you need to change the engine for a new one.

its trigger sensitive, the harder you pull, the faster it goes, maybe you controller isn't reaching full pull?

I guess that's it, my controller has a lot of issues

idk... he runs really fast for me.... all I have to do is hold r2.
