I really liked how FF15 did ally attacks every now and then.
And people mock Witcher 3's combat lol, at least combat in Witcher 3 didn't feel like trying cut down a redwood with a tablespoon. Every fight feels like a battle of attrition.
thats because the witcher 3 combat is absolutely awful... ff16 combat is a materpiece in comparison. you can easily break the witcher 3 combat system completely

dont think i need to add anything to that
Even that vid 16 fans love to share of the combat creator vs that bounty boss sucks, where he ends up just countering until stagger and then does nothing but chip damage, and the fight ends up taking an eternity to finish.
Dog is great for starting or extending combos.
well i think the FF16 combat is way better, its really enjoyable during boss fights, i dont enjoy trash mob fights too much either though
i also didnt claim that FF16 combat is a masterpiece, i claimed that it could be considered a masterpiece compared to witcher 3 combat, thats it, and the bar is not that high
both witcher and Final fantasy games are played for their story, not for their gameplay though. the gameplay is just supposed to be good enough to keep you going
if you want a really good action combat system then lets play monster hunter or something else
Then you have games like ZZZ where NPCs are ghosts that literally phase through everything, but it works out better because they're not acting weird
If I had to think of an example of believable and complex NPCs, perhaps the Hitman games come to mind, because most of them are programmed according to their specific location and to respond specifically to different things
Any NPC that is somewhere inbetween perfectly manicured or ghostlike, it's going to be painful to deal with
In my opinion, they scrapped NPC behaviors to commit to the unobtrustive method, and it works out well
A Clive and Jill Fire & Ice attack would be kino.
That tells me you didn't upgrade your equipment. Trash mobs die super fast in FF16 if you bother to learn your moves.
I think you're just saying stuff to say stuff.
