I want to play the game. Not have an AI play for me.
they fused them into Jill i suppose lol
The people claiming that the AI might steal the limelight from the player don't make any sense either because it's not like your combo will get interrupted by the AI hitting the boss. It just means the boss dies faster and you feel more like a unit rather than The Clive Show.
I love Clive, he's a cool character and I like the way he's written and his abilities are fun to play with, I just don't want it to be The Clive Show. I don't like it when they're sitting there watching me wail at the boss.
Even if they can wipe the floor with the trash mobs, it still doesn't change the fact that they FEEL like decorations to me. They don't have visible health bars, they aren't really part of the fight so much as they are these nebulous external factors that might help you in a cinematic way if the game gets lucky with some emergent timing.
i dont see a reason for them to be that useless though. i can literally use 1 or 2 skills and delete a whole screen of trash mobs myself.
wouldnt hurt anyone's experience if the teammates did some more.
and for bosses they could just increase their hp a bit to balance the team doing more damage to them.
so you are right. whoever argues differently is weird for me, even on highest difficulty without cheat accessoiries the game is super easy. i even installed a mod so the enemies deal 2x their damage and it still is quite easy to get through, so i dont get the logic of the first commenter.
True. Don't tell me the answer but I'm sitting here wondering if I'll ever get another party member. Ever since losing that one person its just me, Jill and and the dog.
Btw, Tales is my favourite JRPGS series and I like shining resonance too. I can even look past the power of friendshippyness of it. And those instruments haha.
Buuuuut I like this game too. I just like JRPGs. Even though square doesn't like that term now I guess. Or was that just Yoshida? Oh well it doesn't matter... its still a jrpg to me.
Also everyone: Why isn't the CPU fighting for me.
Good point....
