4080: Mid Graphics Settings, still Unplayable

I started playing the demo on "ultra" graphics settings on my 4080 computer and was getting such poor performance, that I dropped the graphics settings down to "MID", and it was still unplayable. It was so bad I couldn't get more than 15 min into the game.

Square Enix, you have to fix this before you launch. Push pack your launch date if you have to.

I have a 2080ti and doing 1440p ultra and getting a basically locked 60. I have a 144 hz monitor but I’m doing Steam Link to play on my TV which is only 60. Experience was fantastic. No clue what your complaint is.

What’s unplayable? 4k resolution? Less than 100 fps? Update your graphics drivers, the latest update included fixed for FF16.

Post more in-depth system specs and windows/driver versions.
I have a 4080 and have no issues. FPS drops down to about 30fps for the first few seconds of a cutscene, but other than that I sit around 140-150fps even during intense gameplay.

They were probably on a 4k resolution

I would check your pc/drivers/age of windows install, maybe some benchmarks for gpu/cpu make sure everything hardware wise is ok (no power limit or overheat) the games runs fine on 3060 3070 ect so it should be fine on yours its probably some stupid windows issue

Are your drivers updated? I have a 4090 and am playing on Windows 10. Very slight stutter when coming out of a cutscene but everything else is super smooth. I have an AMD CPU.

100-120 fps max settings with no frame gen during normal gameplay. ryzen 9 7950X and rtx 4070 ti. cutscenes are locked at 30 fps and jittery though, which feels pretty bad
