And TECHNICALLY, the main hero of the game is bisexual, but it only hints at it.

ok good thx, i thought they went full woke.
That's not what "woke" means... but anyway.
I'm gay, and even I don't think LGBT content is always needed. Only 5% of the population is gay, les, or bi with only 0.3% being trans.
I like seeing LGBT people in games, but it doesn't have to be EVERYWHERE and ALL THE TIME.
What I do like is when you can design the main character however you please, but I also understand that some designers don't want to do this. it's 100000000000% ok to have a heterosexual main character as that is what 95% of humans are.
I’m normally really good at telling what is actual good representation and what’s just pandering. They cooked with Dion. He’s got a very clear character ark and sub-plot and his secrete relationship adds to the numbersous stresses in his life and lead him to making the decisions he makes later on with the game. Therefore I don’t think it can be called woke but people misapply the word a lot.
I love FF16 and I’m looking forward to more people trying it. Definitely not a game for everyone but if you like dark fantasy and Devil May Cry styled action games or even older Final Fantasy you will love it.
I can't believe somebody actually threw a clown at that--imagine being offended by people being honest and sincere.
The fact about this game is that @Dave is 100% correct. This game is NOT "woke" (which btw, actually means aware or informed about important facts and usually politically/culturally knowledgeable). This game is not pushing any secret agenda, it does not pander to any particular group, it does not support any political/cultural group in any way.
There are minor NPC's that are gay; that is all. You can help them with a side quest which is very well done. Also... NO, the "main hero" is not bisexual. That is a rumor based on a single line in the game and a kataku author that has a crush on the voice actor.
**Edited for clarification**
Probably why it actually sold, unlike a certain Flopspoken.
They will have balls if they stop to make white protagonists and for example make asians. They are asians after all.
Those that think that "white" should be the default have mental issues.
Imagine an Asian homosexual man as the main protagonist. I’m sure that those who oppose "woke" would struggle to engage with such a narrative. They would likely express their discomfort online, crying all around internet: Revealing their insecurities about their own sexuality (that is because they are anti-woke in the first place)
Having a white male protagonist is not having balls.
Having anything other than a white male just gets a bunch of gamer gate weirdos' knickers in a twist. But it's not having balls either.
Forspoken's issues weren't that it had a black female protagonist or was 'woke'. It was incomplete, poorly optimised, got repetitive & so on, though not as bad as people bangwagoned when it came to hating the game, but it definitely wasn't a £65 game & deserving of criticism, but I paid £35 and didn't feel cheated.
This game is boring and flat too bud
