Am I dumb or reinforced green weapons are better then purple weapons?
Everytime since from start the swords I craft from boss materials always have worse stats then +2 random green weapons. I don't see any attributes in purple weapons either, am I dumb or are they just totally useless?

Purple weapons are generally good when you first find them but get outclassed by whatever you find / upgrade next. There’s a few exceptions, like Excalibur is good for a while, but that gets outclassed as well. The problem with weapons in this game is that there’s not really any nuance. Mostly all the time, once you get a stronger weapon, there’s zero reason to use the ones that came before (aside from perhaps glamour).

thanks for the answer I just wanted to be sure. I guess the game gets half baked after first half. I just finished it well it was a fine journey.

Its incredibly linear progression with few quest reward exceptions that are already fallen off by the time you can get them (excalibur comes to mind) as a rule, whatever is the latest you can get, it will always be better than what you have right till you craft the Ragnarok, then the only thing better would be the Gotterdammerung or Omega weapon if you have the DLCs.

Ragnarok is not immune to this either. It is the best you can get for a while, but Defender +1 is already better, with Defender +2 of course even stronger. Gotterdammerung takes over again, until you do either of the DLCs. Fallen Enforcer and then Omega Weapon becomes the strongest from Echoes of the Storm, or The Rising Tide adds Tidestrike, which is stronger than Fallen Enforcer but weaker than Omega Weapon.

Also from The Rising Tide, the Tonberry Knife is a special case, as it’s got a weaker attack stat than Gotterdammerung, but a very strong stagger stat, by far stronger than anything else available until near the end of NG+. But this weapon is only really useful in NG+, since you can’t get it until you’ve already defeated very nearly everything else in the game.

Isn't just whatever has higher numbers? That's what i look for. Do the tier colors change hidden properties?

The higher numbers is all that matters, yes. The tier colors don't really mean anything other than signifying what kind of weapon it is, its "rarity" class. Grey is bought from a shop, green is upgraded, blue is found in a chest, purple is DLC free stuff, crafted, or found in a chest later in the game, gold is crafted for endgame purposes, and red is NG+ only endgame class, which also happens to be the strongest overall.

Theres a mod on nexus that adds interesting secondary attributes to the weapons, similar to the bits you get in the fallen dlc
