I had no issue with it in the main game. Its what I expect from a "FF" game

BUT THE SIDE QUESTS ON THE OTHER HAND

Then you shouldn't have bought a Final Fantasy game.

I have been playing FF since early 2000 on PS1 and those were amazing FFs. This one has to many cinematic...

About time we have a story-focused FF game! FFXV barely had any story, leaving most of the character and world building for an anime series, a movie, DLCs and a book.

FFs 4-10 were heavy on storyline. One of the best moments in FFVII was the Lifestream scene, which had about 30 minutes of cutscenes and dialogue and practically no gameplay. FFX has 9+ hours worth of unskippable cutscenes, which is why the game's speed run world records are over 9.5 hours long. Besides, if you don't like cutscenes, you can skip them in any recent FFs.

You often find that in narrative driven games. Its especially heavy in the early portions, but its narrative driven all the way through.

It doesn't bother me, FF has always been narrative driven. So I really can't relate to the complaints.

Though I understand for some people, its all about the gameplay. Thats not the case for me. The story needs to hook me to keep me engaged. And this game does that well.

Also you know you can skip them, right?

i love the cinematic, but as a passive content i will like to see them all like a movie, then i will enjoy gameplay, that has nice option to replay the quests.
i don't want to miss those spectacular videos, but i also like adrenalinic gameolay consistence, that the game has on it's core

Was that directed at me? Because my comment wan't directed at you. I don't necessarily think its a bad idea. As long as keeping it the way it is remains an option.

Whether or not something like that would actually happen, idk, it would definitely take up some of the limited pool of development resources.

was just a consideratio, if it was sound weird is because i'm italian and bad with english.
the game is cult for 2 reasons: spectacular action gameplay and animation movie.
thought mixed up could be boring for someone. not my case

Yeah I think thats kind of what ff15 tried to do. Put the game in the game and story in a movie. But I never played the game, tried watching the movie but got bored and dropped it.

This game would be way better if the dialogue was just text boxes that pop up on screen with no voice acting that you could read at your own pace.

Yes! Also, after a few hours in, i came to the conclusion i can only spam X in all fights. Old FF were better in my opinion.
I came to that conclusion about 15 minutes in

Okay so set it like that? You can turn voice volume all the way down and stop auto advance dialogue.

Okay, go tell that to Metal Gear Solid franchise, Xenosaga, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Heavy Rain, Detroit Become Human, and several others.

The game doesn't have too many cinematics. You simply picked a game that isn't for you.
No, the game does have too many cinematics.
