EDIT: And you might have vram issues with a 3070. It depends, reports vary a lot. You might have no problems or you might have a lot. Couple tips though, reduce textures to low, this is pretty much required for 8gb GPUs and doesn't affect visuals much, and also reducing terrain detail can help. Also using legacy scaling is better for reducing vram use than dlss ( which is useless for it in this game). If that still isn't enough, you might want to look at dynamic resolution scaling, though make sure you set a reasonable framecap (30 - 60) or it might get too blurry. Or maybe none of that will be necessary. You'll just have to see.
Just... make sure all apps in the background are closed. Apps like to use vram these days, not just games. And this is one of the most vram hungry games I have ever played.
