"The GPU device instance has been suspended."
Running the game on a Founders 4090 + 7800X3D, native 4k no DLSS or frame gen but after around 90 to 150 minutes the game will crash with a "The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine the appropriate action." I've searched and found other users having the same issues but without any solid fix. Tried reinstalling the game, clean installing the latest NVIDIA drivers, updated BIOS, using FFXVIfix, nothing seems to work.

Just another reminder to never, ever buy a game from Square on PC. Glad I was able to try it free. Just like From, Square simply cannot optimize for PC.
I have a 4070 and the game runs like a dream, hovering around 100-120fps on 100% max settings with DLSS Quality and FG on. Sounds like your rig is busto.

His and the hundreds of others that have issues? The EXACT same issue? All of them? In the exact same way?

I just ran into this crash with a 4090 and a 7800x3D around the 4 hour mark, what a bummer.

Have you read the thread and tried the solutions explored that have helped other people?

After scouring forums I got the impression this issue doesn't really have a solution other than "maybe with this fix it only crashes after 3 - 4 hours.", In my case it crashed in less than 1 hour, after booting the game the second time. I figured I'd ask for a refund and try all that stuff if it is denied, or wait for a better patch solution if it is approved, luckily the refund was approved despite having gone above the 2 hour limit.

They usually are generous on refunds with games that have known issues, done several refunds after the time limit myself. Just have to state a good case for it.

I have the error twice. Once on window 10 and another on 11. Running on 9900k and 3090. Playing on 4k DLSS

Thats a shame. I can think of at least two people in this very thread that were able to completely get rid of the issue. I myself got the error once when testing out an undervolt, that leads me to believe its a very catch-all type error that could be caused by anything. But a common one in setting a framecap and reverting to driver version 561.09. Anyway, guess its too late now. Well, hopefully somebody else catches this.

I've tried looking through all the pages here but two guys were arguing. Is there a confirm fix for this? I see someone downgraded drivers but not sure if that actually worked for them. Just got this error on Garuda fight. (First time playing, was online for about 3-ish hours)
So I keep getting this every hour or 2 hours, I have a RTX 4070 Ti Super, I tried almost everything but nothing seems to help, even tried to play on 30 frames or 60 frames even 60 Hertz and it still didn't work also not on the lowest settings.

I really hope this will be fixed at some point or someone that might find out about what causes this, most of the times its after a long ass cutscene.
If you're using ffxviFix downgrade nvidia drivers to 561.09 or you will experience crashing after a few hours

I wasn't even using the FFXVIFix when I got my first crash which was after about 3-ish hours? So in this case am I just outta luck or would downgrading still be the only fix?

no the gpu suspend error is specifically a ffxvifix problem which is fixed by downgrading the driver.

Right, I understand the correlation between the ffxvifi xand downgrading but I got this error without using it so is my problem an entirely different case then? I might be misunderstanding you and apologize if so. I can't imagine its any GPU problems since this is the sole game I've had this error with(Or any GPU problem with so far)

FFXVIfix+newer drivers have this issue lately, if you look on the nexus post for FFXVIfix you can see a comment about which drivers can be used without this crash happening. sadly for me as much as an older driver doesnt cause the problem anymore I went from 120fps down to 45fps max and thats just not nice to look at.
