HDR destroys colors.
You need to check out real HDR on a real HDR display, not HDR on a $300 500 nit 6bit colour LCD display.
E.g. a game experiences some sort of corruption you exit and go back to steam desktop but everything remains dimmer until you launch another HDR compatible game that somehow brings brightness back to normal…
This issue for me is more easily triggered on my gsync HDR 10 LG QLED monitor vs my 240Hz Dolby Vision QHD display…
If you’re only getting dimmer output for this game and exiting the game returns back to normal than try disabling HDR option in-game, disable HDR under NVIDIA app for global and windows display settings. Re-launch the game, is everything normal? Then try turning HDR back on one place at a time starting with windows OS.
