Graphics Card Update to Play FINAL FANTASY XVI

To play FINAL FANTASY XVI and the demo, please update your graphics driver to at least one of the following versions:

AMD Graphics: 24.10.37.01
Intel Graphics: 32.0.101.5971
NVIDIA: 560.94

These graphics driver updates include fixes for known issues.

I have an i9-10900k, an EVGA 3080 RTX, 32 Gigs of RAM and still FF16 will not go over 16 FPS. All my other games are running fine. I have the updated NVIDIA drivers. Where is the miss?

I can't even start the game, I get the message "The game cannot start because the graphics card is not compatible". I have updated the drivers, re-installed them from scratch and even tried the previous version of the drivers: nothings is working and I don't understand why.

Hi, just wanna share what worked for me with the ''The game cannot start because the graphics card is not compatible'' error.

First I just wanna mention that I think we need a graphic card that is compatible with DirectX12, since this game seems to require DirectX 12 Agility.

What I did was:

Update Windows (10 in my case) either by using windows update or, if you don't want to use this, by using Cumulative Update for Windows (this steam post helped me do this last one: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1282100/discussions/1/3809533247345035594/ ).

After doing this and restarting my computer, the game worked without problems.

Hope this info helps and more people can enjoy the game.

game refuses to load anything when I reach The Hideaway, diamond shows up screen goes black and then crashes, every time. the demo ran perfectly

Hello! I have an RTX 3080 and an AMD 5950. Demo ran flawlessly at 4k averaging 70 fps.

Playing full game and I get to hideaway and I start tanking to 50 fps. I get to Lostwing and I shoot down to 30. Changing resolution to 1440 and I am back to 50-60. Changing DLS setting doesn't seem to do anything....I set to ultraperformance and see no or little change.

I updated my drivers, tried the mod, little to no change.

Currently did not face any pop ups while loading the game. Seems to work fine. Will update this comment if something wrong happens.

the garauda fights drops my performance from fsr+frame gen from 100+ to 12+ fps and it stays there and wont go back up i tried also both nexus mods fixes for the stutter nothing works

my Laptop:
I7-10750H
rtx 3070 8 GB Vram
32 Gb ramj
installed on M.2 SSD

I cleared also the shader cache already so and reinstalled my graphics driver with ddu clean install and still fps drops also tryd every setting from low, mid and high still the drops form 100+ to 12+ and does not go back up at all.

I hope Square Enix fixes the frame drop issue with a upcoming Patch would be a shame if not. not nice to fight the Garuda and after that the ifrit vs Garuda fight with 12+ fps. Developers need really fix there PC port
