FFXV was the old Denuvo model, unless they ever need to patch it again for whatever reason they aren't going to remove it. Notice how nearly every S-E game released in the last few years removes it after 6-12 months now?
Okay? I don't like having to rely on mods to make a game good tbh. I'm already sick of doing that for Bethesda games, I don't want to buy a game that's lacking and have to manually patch it myself. Devs should just allow an option for 30 fps capped cutscenes or not.
It shouldn't be up to US, the people paying $60-70 for the game, to fix it's issues with 3rd party mods.
To be fair, the game is $50 USD, not 60-70.
Thanks for the correction, I am honestly surprised it's not at least $60 considering that FF7 Remake was $70 when it launched on PC (when it was $60 on PS4) and the Kingodm Hearts games are $50 despite how old they are and having been on sale for much much lower than that on console before (I am pretty sure I picked up my PS4 copies for $15 new).
Regardless, still not excusable for a $50 game from a multi-billion dollar corporation that's been around making games for over 40 years and is one of the biggest names in gaming developers, with Final Fantasy being one their biggest and most well known franchises no less.
On top of that, why even bother with Denuvo if you don't think the PC version is worth what the console version cost while you didn't put Denuvo on the far more popular FF7 Remake while that one you raised it's price from $60 to $70? The PS5 version launched at $70 and is STILL $70 in the PSN store as of the time of this post.
(And yes, I know the PC version of FF7 comes with Intergrade, but it's quite common for a port to include the DLC at a cheaper price when it launches a year or more later on another platform.)
I completely agree with you. This is a sub-standard product. I actually considered buying it over Wukong, glad I got to test both games performances.
