Is this game more demanding than Cyberpunk?
Im playing on laptop with i5, rtx 3050.

While playing Cyberpunk, with low settings (im sure i could play with mid settings iirc) , it is smooth.

But while playing ff16 with low settings, it seems didnt do anything.
1. I already update the driver (before and after , the results are same, low fps like im playing with 20fps).

2. I tried to change the settings , then exit, restart and playing from the load data, it doesn't change anything.

I think this is the first time i cant play a game even with low settings with my laptop.

Do you think this is because the port or the requirements for FF16 is so high?

Looks and runs worse.

Its just a demo. not the final product.
it did just get patched today. maybe it runs better now. i couldn't get the eikonic challenge to open in the demo would just hang on the load screen for 5+ min...
just gonna wait til the full release regardless of if it was patched or not. already finished the demo anyhow.

Lack of VRAM. This game needs 6GB minimum.
i guess this is the problem, my vram is only 4GB, hopefully they kindly fix this issue.

4gb vram is not enough for most modern gaming. The issue is your computer so i doubt they would come and "fix" that.

the patch took my fps from a stable 50 fps to a stable 25fps on a 2080 so big rip

Got a stable 60+ on my 13600KF+7900XT @3440+1440 somewhere between high and max settings and the game is pretty much GPU bound (100% vs CPU around 25-30%).

Just beeing a bit cunfused about the fact that both FSR and XeSS don't really change anything for me xDD
Not that it matters because both don't really look good but just wondering ^^

Latest Patch at least fixed stuttering in cutszenes for me but nothing about the over all performance that i would have noticed right away.

like if it is a problem on rx 5700 run like ♥♥♥♥ anyway and it has 8gb of vram

Yes. The lighting system is handcrafted PCSS-like and mimics RT Shadow+GI. The game is designed around that and there is no turning it off. The lighting code itself is optimized but the fidelity ingame is VERY high by default. Basically there is no real "low" settings. It clearly targets PS5 performance and above.

Comparing games with no ray tracing, Cyberpunk will not be as demanding as the last AAA games from last year and this year. Like Star wars jedi survivor, Hogwarts legacy, Allan Wake 2 and Dragons dogma 2.

I don't have all these games to compare. But I can compare to Star Wars, Hogwarts and Dragons Dogma 2.

Here, with a Ryzen 7900x and RX 7900xt. I have the results (every time on ultra, no RT, no upscaling, no frame generation, locked to 60fps)

Star Wars Jedi Survivor:
1080p: ~40% / ~40% (use of gpu and cpu)
1440p: ~65% / ~40%

Hogwarts Legacy (I don't know why but this game use a lot more RAM):
1080p: 36% / 30%
1440p: 60% / 35%

Dragons Dogma 2:
1080p: 45% / 40%
1440p: 75% / 50%

FFXVI Demo:
1080p: 65% / 20%
1440P: 95% / 25%

So yeap. This is the most demanding game for my GPU I ever tested here.
I played SWJS at 100fps lock and Im playing HL at 100fps lock right now on 1440p.
FFXVI I can't do that.

People who says the game is performancing well is using frame generations and upscaling. But frame generations are false. Don't feel the same.

if your laptop can run crysis you can probably run this too

You have a crap system... it isn't poorly optimized. I will keep spamming this video.

This is also before the latest nVidia driver update that makes it run even better.
