[Partially Fixed] Linux issue: Workshop Levels not downloading
I mentioned this problem in the News post announcing the release of the new patch. Four days have passed and I still have not heard even an acknowledgement from the other users that there is a problem, much less the devs, much less any sort of patch that might fix this problem.

To repeat it here, pressing the button to browse Workshop Levels in the client, activates the GUI reaction, but doesn't switch to the overlay. Also, attempting to use the Discovery feature to download levels results in either a Download Failure or a Timeout. I have no way around this. The problem persisted across reinstalls. I would appreciate some support on this.

Are error messages printed anywhere?

So this is where it gets interesting - check out the assertion failure in the log:

chunkfinder.cpp (663) : Assertion Failed: Failed to load file '/home/kandarihu/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/TowerFall/Workshop/Temp/526404925/custom.tower' for chunking!

This could be really bad news - it knows where the file is based on the directory we sent it (and we only send the directory; Steamworks iterates through the folder and picks up any files within it), but it fails to load the file for reasons we aren't told. All we know is that it picked up the file path and Steamworks' code hit an assert() that didn't pass.

Assuming that we have read permissions on that file, it's pretty much all on Valve to see why it doesn't like that file. If you want you can check to see if the Temp/ version and your original version are any different (maybe it was corrupted somehow?), but aside from that there's no real way for me to debug Valve's half of the Workshop support.

I just tested it again and the last patch seems to have fixed it for me (on my Ubuntu the folder is indeed "steamapps". I even managed to upload a custom tower I made. Thanks for the quick fix.
Quick note for people getting quick fixes and updates:
After getting an update to successfully install: RESTART YOUR STEAM.

Workshop acts wonky a lot of the time otherwise, and false positives are common when you don't!

This happens to me, with the last linux version. Any workaround? How can I debug the issue in order to help?
