Steam controller support?

I've been testing out my new steam controller on different games, and it doesn't seem like Towerfall sees it as a controller, and instead defaults to the desktop configuration of the controller. Anybody else have any luck using a steam controller with the game?

I'm on a macbook pro (early 2015) if that makes any difference.

Been playing 4 player with my neice/nephew/kids w/steam controllers. Kiddos had no problems whatsoever with the default config.

That said, I'd LOVE to be able to use the right-touchpad to insta-shoot in a particular direction.

Not working for me either. I can progress past the opening screen and then on the main menu I can change options but not actually select anything. When I have made it to character select using the keyboard I haven't been able to pick anything.

Ben, I'm having the exact same issue. I'm on a Mac and I have the controller using the wireless setup. I can press A to get to the main menu but then pressing A to go into any of the options doesn't work.

Same issue for me on OSX, either wired or wireless. Annoyingly, it USED to work fine, but stopped. I'm not sure if it was a TF update or a Steam Beta update that changed things.

The controller does work properly for me when streaming TF from a Windows host using my Mac.

THIS ISNT A PROBLEM. YOU CHANGE THE KEYS THAT YOUR STEAMCONTROLLER IS USING TO MATCH THE DESKTOP CONFIGURATION. THIS IS HOW THE STEAMCONTROLLER WAS MADE TO BE USEFULL!

didnt you buy a steam controller so that you could play games that dont have controller support? you can configure every button on your steam controller to be anything on a gamepad or keyboard/mouse or a combination of both. in towerfall you can set your steam controller to be a gamepad or a keyboard, because these are the two kinds of controls it uses. towerfall doesnt have steam controller support (automatically registering it as a steam controller and giving it a seperate scheme) but i really dont think that any game needs support for it because you can make the steam controller act as any control method any developer could possibly have set their game to be played with.

Thanks for your response! You can set your steam controller but doesn't work in the game
