I think I figured out the PlayStation 4 controller issue

Looks like Matt has configs in here for DS3 and DS4 controllers with the correct controller images. I kept wondering why none of mine were working.

Thanks to this guide (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=242533486), I now have my answer.

There's no config for the DS4 Wireless adapter so Towerfall doesn't know what it is.

Open a file explorer, go to Program Files (x86) or wherever your Steam directory is and then: Steam\steamapps\common\TowerFall\Gamepad_Config.

Copy the Dualshock4.xml file and rename it Dualshock4Wireless.xml.

Open the copied file and change the <id> line to this:

<id>0ba0054c-0000-0000-0000-504944564944</id>

Now your Wireless Dualshock 4 controllers show up properly in-game! This also works in the widescreen Towerfall 8-players as well :D.
