Steam Remote Play Together sometimes works great first try, but unfortunately not always.. Here are some tips we found helpful:
- only one person in the session needs to own the game and they'll need to host that session
- once the host starts the game, they should invite the other plays to join
- anyone joining the session remotely will usually need to use a game-pad, as Steam gets funny about multiple people using keyboard + mouse
- if having trouble with your controller inputs, try having the host turn on Steam Input
- if still having trouble with controllers or connecting, there are some other advanced settings that might need changing based on your setup. Unfortunately you might need to check through Steam Remote Play documentation or other forums to find the settings that best for you.
Let us know how you go - I hope you get to play together soon!
