Metal Sonic music is screwed up now? Why?

Upon starting the battle you get the version of his music that doesn't have the build up that plays alongside the cutscene with Classic Sonic.

...but upon restarting that battle (for any reason) gets you the music with the intro.

What in the ♥♥♥♥? Why? Please tell me a fix is coming. Playing on PS5, sure, but seeing as how this seems to also be a problem on Steam it may be across the board.

I assumed it was the case where they accidentally used the soundtrack release version of the song (and it made me worry we'd also get the SEGA Saturn sample-less version of the Super Sonic Racing remix but that's not the case). The fact that it plays the correct song when restarting makes me wonder if the two files got mixed up, especially if the original game plays the introless version when restarting.
