Sonic Generations remaster stuttering "fix".
Some people have noticed that the Sonic Generations remaster is performing worse than the original release from 2011 , especially the modern sonic stages having stuttering while boosting.

I have also experienced this issue myself and have tried multiple ways to fix it , but to no avail. the only thing that fixed the stuttering for me was changing my monitors refresh rate from 60hz to 75hz.
I would also like to say that the original game plays perfectly even with my higgher refresh rate monitor , no idea why higher refresh rates cause issues on the remaster though.

The game plays like It did in 2011, but there are some issues that I have noticed that are not 1:1 with the orginal release:

1. Loading anything ( white space hub and levels ) takes significantly longer compared to the original
2. The PC version is missing ui elements while doing tricks , the other versions have newly made ui for that but the pc version doesnt have them for some reason
3. ( May be a nitpick but It's still something I noticed while playing ) The game looks significantly more "bloomy" , It may be just a nitpick but (in my opinion) It looks significantly worse compared to the original.

If anything in my thread sound wierd or inconherent , English is not my primary language and I apologize for any mistakes I may make.

Only gonna comment on the stuttering. Turn vsync OFF. This worked for me on a 144hz display with AMD freesync and VRR enabled.

Weird. From my experience, load times were about on par if not slightly shorter than the original 2011 PC version. It was near instant for me, even on a HDD.

You can turn the Bloom effects off in the Options menu. See if that improves the visuals.

Im running this game on a ssd and the load times are longer for some reason , will see if putting it on a hdd will make a diffrence.

Turning V-sync off didn't help , only switching the refresh rate did.

Sorry, could only say what worked for me. Would need to know more info on your setup. But if you didn't wanna deal with any hassles, I'd look into some frame limit programs and target the Sonic Generations.exe with it. This way you don't have to change your monitor every time you boot it up. You should be able to do this in your GPU software

Sega will probably release a patch for this. I gotta imagine they will be targetting Sonic Generations for patches as it seems to have the most issues with set up
