Bug Tracking Thread - October 25th, 2024

Hey everyone,

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS is now available! We can't wait for you all to experience this love letter to the franchise.

In order to help our teams bring you the best possible experience, if you do happen to encounter any bugs during your playthrough, we request that you please submit a support ticket for our team to review here[support.sega.com].

When filling out the form, a few notes to ensure the team can properly track and manage:

• Title & Platform: please select SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS. This is listed under 'Sonic the Hedgehog.' From there, please choose the platform you are playing on (most likely Steam if you are reading this!)
  
• Nature of Enquiry: please choose the type that most closely reflects the issue you are facing (e.g. if you are experiencing a graphical issue, please choose "Graphics/Video," whereas if you are having gameplay issues, please choose "Gameplay")
  
• Subject: please start the subject with "Bug Report" followed by a short description of the issue you are facing
  
• Description: please be as descriptive as possible when filling out the form! What was happening when you experienced the issue? Where in the game were you? Are there any steps you can share to reproduce this? If you are also able to include your system specs, that's even more helpful (if you're on Windows, you can go to the start menu -> type in Run -> type in dxdiag)
  
• Attachments: optional, but if you have images or videos, you can add those here! Please try to keep under 20MB, and if sharing an image please use the JPG format

If you are facing multiple issues, please fill out one ticket per issue. This will greatly help the teams here organize each bug so they can address easier.

someone posted the solution to this earlier in the thread! you just have to turn your rendering scale down to 50% and it should work

Game is no longer syncing cloud save between steam deck.

I was trying to S rank challenges on my steam deck. Got about half way through. Few days later, I jump on my PC to continue, and I notice my recent progress is gone. Checked on my steam deck and it's all there.

Says on both devices that cloud is up to date, but clearly not. What do I do?

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Sonic Generations seems to have really bad input delay.

i got some bug recently and now i cant play anymore
i was at the end of city escape act 2 in the generations part and i accidentally skipped a loading trigger (not what im talking abt rn tho) in the truck chase after going around like 2 turns and when i got to the goal ring i stopped for a bit to take a photo (my xbox gamebar which i normally use took to long to load so i just took a photo) and then went in the goal ring, my screen went white like it its supposed to but then it didnt fade into the results screen and the goal ring sfx was still playing
then i tried to move my mouse, couldnt, tried to close the game with alt f4, couldnt so i just shut down my pc thinking it would just revert to the last save
and then i opened the game again and it just didnt finish loading so i cant play shadow gen either
someone pls help im too dumb to figure this out myself

Edit: i fixed it, it was something to do with my hard drive

Shadow part of the game works perfectly
soinc part shuts down when i click new game or options

In shadow generation,rail canyon act 1 doesn’t work and I can’t go to the next stage.I already played sonic generation so I can’t get refund.

If subtitles are disabled in the game, then audio files can interrupt each other, in absolutely any language of the game. I checked it out in the boss fight against Mephiles.

1-. The game sounds a little quiet and what you say sounds strange.
2-. In the Sonic G in the cinematics you cannot hear the dialogues

i literally can't get the game to run at any resolution higher than 720p for either part of the game.

As soon as I entered the Sonic generation, I pressed any key settings without any response, and pressed any keys on the keyboard for settings and menus without any response
