Boycotting Due to Censorship

I was planning to buy this game, but after seeing the leaked rewritten script and the unnecessary censorship of Rouge, I’ve decided to boycott my first Sonic game. This move, influenced by Ian Flynn and Hit Detection (a consulting firm similar to Sweet Baby, Inc.), is disappointing. I realize some may not agree, but I refuse to support any form of alteration big or small that compromises the original game’s legacy. It’s not a remake, so altering the script in this way feels disrespectful to the original experience, which players deserve to experience as intended, flaws and all. It’s a shame that this approach was taken by everyone involved.

♥♥♥♥ yeah speak your truth. me personally, i think the rewriting is very disrespectful towards Pontac, so i bought the game THRICE. once for me and twice for my friends, this is because i hope they continue disrespecting Pontac, as i consider his writing to be garbage.

Hmmm, the golden age of gaming passed many years ago and this is a new generation and not about enjoying the game. If there were no games because some do not like it I guess those top of the line systems will be worthless.

bro stop being a gooner and just play the game, its honestly pretty good. Levels feel polished and when you play as shadow if you got a feeling "i could make that crazy jump" you probably can. you are missing out on alot of dopamine that cannot get replaced by gooning to rogue the bat

bro its sonic, the cutscenes are cringe af the plot is completely pointless, The entire game is going fast. WILD But youre literally just a 7 game andy, Instead of watching movies and actually playing games you'd eventually beat them.

so yeah, they changed the script
because it was bad. now it is less bad. this seems remarkably straightforward.

For real. Heroes and '06 at least HAD writing. SonGen was just a nothing burger of reducing everyone to the lead writer's (incorrectly) perceived core and then flanderizing the hell out of them until Forces came out.

Lost World had writing but it was based on that flanderization so it was horrible. Gameplay was awful, too, which didn't help.

And these people are simping and stanning for. Horrific flanderization that isn't even accurate to the characters to that point. Even Heroes's "I'm literally going to beat Sonic into marrying me" Amy had more depth than SonGen's.
