Bro, I just checked your account. No way you're talking ♥♥♥♥ to people LMAO.
Personally I think Sega should move homing attack back to the jump button and put drop dash and bounce where homing attack is.
It's a phrasal template used to call attention to someone or a group's tendency to act a certain way. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/x-challenge-impossible
Yeah, and I am not holding down the jump button in midair. I am tapping it right before landing to quickly jump back up. Once again, re-read the original post as I never said I was holding down the button.
Gotta assume this is some new tiktok zoomer term used to belittle legitimate complaints. In other words, I don't care lil bro.
I would love it if Sega ditched the Slide in favor of the Spindash (and I'm talking an actual Spindash) and nerfed the Boost in some way, maybe like Frontiers in which it doesn't deal damage (let it keep a toned down version of it's aura tho.) Dropdash would be midair Spindash.
Though there still needs to be a Stomp, maybe they could use X for Slide/Stomping. So you'd use a Spindash to attack, a Boost to gain burst speed (also make the meter tight) and a Slide to slide under things or attack if you want.
Anyways this is my compromise between Adventure and Boost gameplay :).
What I'm not fine with, however, is Sonic Team adding Drop Dash to modern as well. Just a pointless addition when you have boost ready to go in one button press.
Sure, drop dash can be helpful when you don't have any boost left, but who's going to run out of boost in generations?
With Legacy Controls, the drop dash is on the same button as the homing attack and air dash, and will only trigger if you're holding the button after triggering an air dash. You can also let go of the button before you land to cancel the air dash.
I do agree that it's a pointless addition to the remaster, but that's only because of how I barely got any actual use out of it whatsoever.
I would absolutely hate it if they did this.
While the spin dash and/or somersault can let you squeeze under tight spaces similar to the slide, it completely breaks the pace of the game even when executed properly as the move itself either slows you down or requires you to come to a complete stop just to pull off. The slide rewards fast reactions by keeping the flow going without slowing you down if timed correctly.
So I can only say...... Just don't use it? There's no penalty and it's not even promoted to use. It's just for fun. Like, you have to genuinely hold the button down until you land to even have it work. Not sure how you can drop dash on accident.
