How to get Early Access Download to work! (At least for me I don't know if this will help everyone)

On the bar at the top of the steam window that reads "Steam, View, Friends, Garms, Help". Click on steam, on the drop down menu click on "go offline", this will force the game's status to update. If you try to download it it will allow you to try but will tell you you need to reconnect online first. Now, reconnect by hitting "go online" on that same dropdown menu from before on the top of the steam window. It should now show the game can be downloaded.
