The game went on sale right after I bought it :(

I bought this game 9 days ago at full price, and now it's on sale for much cheaper than what I had originally purchased.

I tried to request a refund, but it was denied because my playtime (24 hrs) was well over the playtime requirement in steams guidelines (2 hrs).

The game released only a month ago, so I didn't think it would go on sale so soon. Now I feel robbed, I guess.

I am aware that I am not entitled to a refund, and I am aware that my playtime is well over what is required for a refund (the refund policy says you can still make a request even if you don't fit the requirements, so I figured I'd try anyways). I just wanted to vent my frustrations because the game is really really fun, but this situation has made me feel sour towards the whole experience. It almost makes me want to stop playing.

Can anyone else relate?

That probably happens to everybody who uses Steam at some point. You shouldn't feel too bad about it imo if you're liking the game. I bought it on Fanatical myself a month ago for more than I'd usually pay, but it turned out to be well worth it.

Nope, you paid to play it earlier than the people who waited for it to go on sale. Simple as that.

I feel your frustration and completely understand where you are coming from on this. For what ever it's worth, you supported the developer early on and help enable more games like this to be made. Games from Sega are made only because of the business behind them. Thank you for supporting this one.
